棕剛玉是以優(yōu)質(zhì)鋁礬土、無煙煤、鐵屑為主要原料在電弧爐內(nèi)經(jīng)2200℃高溫精煉而成。棕剛玉具有化學(xué)穩(wěn)定性強(qiáng)、硬度高、韌性強(qiáng)、磨削力強(qiáng)、耐高溫、耐腐蝕、耐沖刷、流動(dòng)性強(qiáng)、線膨脹系數(shù)低等特點(diǎn)。
棕剛玉被稱為工業(yè)的牙齒，主要用于定型和不定型耐火材料、砂輪、切割片、精密鑄造、鑄造涂料、砂布、砂帶、油石、磨頭、噴砂除銹、拋光、耐磨地坪、水力切割、研磨、功能性填料等行業(yè)。
按冶煉方式可分為：傾倒?fàn)t和固定爐。
按破碎方式可分為：巴馬克砂、對(duì)輥砂、球磨整形砂。
